Edited by: Tetiana Pinchuk Pinchuk

Microsoft is urging Windows 10 users to upgrade to Windows 11 before support ends.

The deadline for Windows 10 support is October 14, 2025.

Currently, Windows 10 accounts for 58.7% of desktop usage, while Windows 11 is at 38.1%.

Microsoft is sending emails to promote the upgrade, highlighting Windows 11's benefits.

Most existing devices can upgrade, meeting the minimum requirements: a 1 GHz processor, 4 GB RAM, 64 GB storage, and TPM 2.0.

Extended Security Updates (ESU) will be available for a fee for those who don't upgrade.

The upgrade is free, with Microsoft touting improved security, performance, and features in Windows 11.
