Volkswagen and FAW to Launch 11 New Models in China, Focusing on Electric and Hybrid Vehicles

Volkswagen and its Chinese partner FAW Group will launch 11 new models in China starting in 2026. Ten of these models will be new energy vehicles (NEV), including fully electric and hybrid vehicles. This move aims to strengthen Volkswagen's market position in China amid increasing competition from local brands. Volkswagen targets 4 million vehicle sales in China by 2030, a significant increase from the 3.23 million sold in 2023.
