Google is expanding Gemini AI's integration with Android devices, starting July 7, 2025.

This update will allow Gemini to directly interact with core apps like Phone, Messages, and Utilities, irrespective of the 'Gemini Apps Activity' setting.

Google's email to users stated Gemini will "help you use" these apps, but lacked specific details, causing privacy concerns.

Users worry about Gemini's access to personal data within these applications. Google clarified that with 'Gemini Apps Activity' off, user chats won't be used to improve AI models.

Data may still be retained for up to 72 hours for service reliability and safety checks. Users are advised to review privacy settings.
