Google's Gemini AI chatbot is set to become more personalized by referencing users' search history to provide contextually relevant responses.
This new feature, powered by the Gemini 2.0 Flash Thinking model, will analyze queries and cross-reference past searches to better understand individual interests.
Initially launching as an experimental feature for Gemini and Gemini Advanced subscribers on the web in over 45 languages, it will expand to mobile over time.
Google emphasizes that user permission will be explicitly requested before connecting to search history or other apps.
The company is also rolling out its Deep Research tool to all Gemini users for free, enhancing its AI research capabilities.
