AI-Powered Weight Loss Program Launched in Croatia

Edited by: Veronika Nazarova

In Osijek, Croatia, a new weight loss program called POST.UI is using artificial intelligence to help patients combat obesity.

The program, developed by local doctors, leverages AI, specifically a ChatGPT agent named Gita, to act as a virtual assistant and mentor for participants. Gita answers questions and provides support, addressing the shortage of human mentors as the program's popularity grows. The program lasts five months and focuses on lifestyle changes, stress management, and healthy habits, without strict diets or calorie counting.

Initial results show significant weight loss among participants, with women losing an average of 13.5 kg and men 17.8 kg. The program also shows promise in managing diabetes.
