Anthropic has secured a $2.5 billion revolving credit line to bolster its liquidity in the competitive AI landscape. The five-year agreement will support the company's rapid growth and investments. Anthropic, known for its Claude chatbot, achieved an annualized revenue run rate of $2 billion in Q1 2025. This is more than double the previous quarter's figures, demonstrating significant growth. The credit line is provided by a consortium of financial institutions, including Morgan Stanley, Barclays, Citibank, Goldman Sachs, JPMorgan, and Royal Bank of Canada. Amazon and Google have also invested significantly in Anthropic. Anthropic's competitor, OpenAI, secured a $4 billion credit line in October 2024, with the option to increase it to $6 billion. This highlights the intense capital investment in the AI sector.
