IDB Announces AI Innovation Award for Latin American and Caribbean Governments

The Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) has launched the ninth edition of the 'Gobernarte: Pablo Valenti Award,' recognizing innovative subnational government initiatives in Latin America and the Caribbean.

This year's competition focuses on projects using artificial intelligence and digital identification to improve public services. Submissions are open until April 10, 2025, and winners will be announced at the Smart City Expo LATAM Congress in Puebla, Mexico, from June 10-12, 2025.

The award is part of the IDB’s fAIr LAC+ initiative, promoting the responsible use of AI in the region.
