HONOR to Launch AI Deepfake Detection Globally in 2025

Edited by: Veronika Nazarova

HONOR will globally launch its AI Deepfake Detection feature in April 2025 to combat the increasing threat of deepfake content. The technology analyzes videos and images in real-time, detecting subtle inconsistencies like pixel-level imperfections and edge composition artifacts.

A 2024 Deloitte study showed that 59% of people struggle to differentiate authentic content from AI-generated content.

The AI Deepfake Detection can identify defects undetectable by the human eye, such as issues with eye contact, lighting, and image sharpness, deterring engagement with potentially harmful deepfakes.
