Fender Unveils Player II Modified Series Guitars and Basses with Mod Shop Events in 2025

Edited by: Inna Horoshkina One

Fender has launched the Player II Modified series in 2025, presenting a fresh lineup of guitars and basses designed for customization and enhanced performance. This series builds upon the Player II platform, incorporating upgrades tailored for today's musicians, eliminating the need for after-market modifications.

Key Features and Upgrades

The Player II Modified series includes new pickups like the Noiseless™ and Player II Modified Humbuckers, engineered to maintain warmth while reducing unwanted noise and improving clarity. Upgraded hardware and electronics, such as brass block saddles, treble bleed circuits, and factory-installed locking tuners, provide enhanced tuning stability and sustain.

Mod Shop Pop-Ups

To celebrate the launch, Fender is hosting Mod Shop pop-ups in London and Melbourne in April and May 2025. These events transform local auto shops into immersive guitar garages, offering musicians hands-on experiences with Fender technicians. Attendees can get their instruments tuned and experience live performances from artists showcasing the Player II Modified series.

Collaboration with IDLES

Fender has partnered with the band IDLES for a campaign video that highlights the capabilities of the Player II Modified series. This collaboration underscores the series' ability to meet the needs of modern players, offering flexibility and sonic exploration for both stage and studio environments.
