Scarlett Johansson has weighed in on the ongoing legal battle between Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni. The actress, featured on the cover of Vanity Fair's June 2025 issue, expressed surprise at the timing of the lawsuit.
Johansson's directorial debut, "Eleanor the Great," is backed by Baldoni's Wayfarer Studios. While she has no direct involvement in the lawsuit, she acknowledged the awkwardness given her professional relationship with Baldoni.
The lawsuit involves accusations of sexual harassment and a smear campaign against Lively. Baldoni has denied the allegations and filed a countersuit. Johansson emphasized Wayfarer's support for her film, but reiterated the "weird timing" of the legal drama.
Johansson was previously married to Ryan Reynolds, Lively's current husband. "Eleanor the Great" is set to premiere at the Cannes Film Festival 2025 on May 20.
