Taylor Swift's Spokesperson Denies Involvement in Justin Baldoni-Blake Lively Lawsuit

Taylor Swift's representative has refuted claims of her significant involvement in the legal battle between Justin Baldoni and Blake Lively. Reports had suggested Swift would be subpoenaed in the lawsuit. However, her spokesperson clarified that Swift's connection to the film 'It Ends With Us' was limited to licensing a song.

The spokesperson stated, "Taylor Swift never stepped foot on the set of this movie, was not involved in any casting or creative decisions, did not score the film, never saw an edit or took notes on the film." They further emphasized that Swift only saw 'It Ends With Us' weeks after its public release, while she was touring globally.

This statement contradicts Baldoni's earlier claims about Swift advocating for Lively's writing during a meeting. Swift's spokesperson reiterated that her involvement was solely the licensing of her song 'My Tears Ricochet'. They accused the subpoena of exploiting Swift's name to generate tabloid interest, rather than focusing on the case's facts.

Baldoni and Lively have been embroiled in a legal dispute since December. Lively initially sued Baldoni for alleged sexual harassment and a smear campaign. Baldoni has denied the allegations and countersued Lively, her husband Ryan Reynolds, and her publicist, alleging civil extortion and defamation. Lively's case is scheduled to go to trial in March 2026.
