The Marché du Film at the Cannes Film Festival continues to spotlight Ukrainian cinema in 2025, hosting a panel discussion focused on the perspectives and challenges faced by the industry amidst ongoing conflict. The State Film Agency of Ukraine organized the event, aiming to address the current state and future prospects of Ukrainian filmmaking.

Key Highlights from the Discussion

The discussion, moderated by Andriy Khalpakhchi, General Director of the Kyiv International Film Festival "Molodist," featured representatives from both the Ukrainian and international film industries. Presentations, video materials, and expert opinions covered production, distribution, and institutional support for Ukrainian cinema during wartime.

Guillaume Esmiol, Executive Director of the Marché du Film, emphasized the importance of international solidarity and support for Ukrainian filmmakers. Enrico Vannucci, Deputy Executive Director of Euroimages, presented co-production opportunities with Ukraine and accessible support programs for Ukrainian film projects.

Presentation of "GUR: Code of Honor" Trailer

A highlight of the event was the presentation of the official trailer for the film "GUR: Code of Honor," a collaboration with the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine and F Films company. The event also featured the video “Filmmakers at the Front”, which tells the story of artists who are currently serving in the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
