We loved absolutely everything: from the visuals to the plot, from the music to the special effects, from the idea to the execution. This is one of those rare cases where the scale doesn't overwhelm, but immerses you. You want to absorb every frame, every detail, every emotion – and not surface from this world until the credits roll.
It appears to be a historical adventure film, but the plot is so unpredictable that no scene feels cliché. And let's not forget: it's simultaneously a peplum, an adventure epic, and a mythological fantasy. Nolan masterfully blends genres, creating something entirely new.
An Acting Firework Display
The cast is simply phenomenal – and everyone is perfectly suited for their role:
- Matt Damon as Odysseus – Wisdom and Serenity incarnate. He is beyond praise: in every glance – depth, in every gesture – the experience of a wanderer who has been through hell and returned home.
- Tom Holland – an open heart, heroism, curiosity, and bravery. A perfect fit for the character.
- Charlize Theron – insight personified. Cold, calculating, magnetic.

The fight scenes – in our humble opinion: they could have been better, especially in the finale. The choreography is good, but it doesn't quite reach the level of the rest of the film. However, this is a minor point against the backdrop of the overall magnificence.

Despite the project's length (2 hours and 49 minutes), there's enough dynamism, and we barely felt any dragging – which some critics complain about. Although, we admit, we're not the biggest fans of long projects either 😀
As of now, this is not just one of the best, but the best film of the year.
