It seems that in 2027, Jason Statham will finally decide to poke fun at his own on-screen persona—and he will do so as spectacularly as possible.
A new film with the magnificent title “Jason Statham Stole My Bike” (Jason Statham Stole My Bike) is preparing for its world premiere August 6, 2027.
And already, the project looks like one of the most intriguing action comedies of the coming years.

The main hook of the film is that Jason Statham himself plays a version of himself.
Not another former special forces operative. Not a silent hitman. Not a driver who knows how to kill with a spoon.

The creators have described the upcoming film as something between “The Transporter” and “Pee-wee's Big Adventure”.
And, perhaps, it is impossible to come up with better advertising.
From “The Transporter” comes the speed, the fights, the chases, and that signature cold Statham style.
From the second film comes an absurd adventure built around a seemingly completely insignificant object.
The result is a potentially very unusual combination:
a serious action hero finds himself in an absolutely unserious story — but continues to treat it as if he were saving the world.
It is precisely from such a contrast that the best humor is usually born.
Who else will be in the film
Besides Statham, the film stars Hannah Waddingham, whom many know from the series “Ted Lasso”.
Her involvement is particularly pleasing: Waddingham works wonderfully in comedy and possesses exactly the kind of energy that can contrast perfectly with Statham's trademark stone-faced stoicism.
Also announced for the project are Daniel Ings, Artie Wilkinson-Hunt, and Eddie Peng.
Filming took place in the UK and Malta, and the project itself is conceived not as a small experimental comedy, but as a full-scale, major studio action film.
