On June 26, 2025, Louis Vuitton inaugurated "The Louis", a conceptual installation-cum-store in Shanghai.

Located in the Wujiang area, on Nanjing West Road, it offers a deep dive into the history of Louis Vuitton, drawing inspiration from the 19th-century design and Shanghai's nautical tradition as "Pearl of the Orient".

The installation spans three floors and covers 1,600 square meters. The first and second floors host the "Visionary Journeys" exhibition, designed by the OMA architectural firm, which explores the house's history through thematic spaces, such as the Trunkscape, which recreates the illusion of a tunnel with the house's emblematic trunks.

On the third floor, Le Café Louis Vuitton offers a menu that combines Shanghai's specialties with gourmet experiences, in a space inspired by the salons and cabins of luxury liners.

The debut of "The Louis" marks Louis Vuitton's strategic move to offer its customers a fully immersive experience, combining the brand's history with the city's identity, in an era where brands are betting on conceptual stores to revive sales.

The location of "The Louis" in the Wujiang area, on Nanjing West Road, reinforces Louis Vuitton's commitment to the Chinese market, presenting the history of Shanghai as a symbolic commercial and nautical center.

Louis Vuitton continues to invest in China, presenting "The Louis" as a unique offering that combines the brand's history with innovation, offering customers a unique immersive experience that combines the brand's history with the city's identity.
