Partial Solar Eclipse to Grace Skies on March 29, 2025: Viewing Information and Safety Guidelines

Edited by: Uliana Аj

A partial solar eclipse will be visible across parts of North America, Europe, and Asia on March 29, 2025. The event occurs when the Moon passes between the Sun and Earth, partially obscuring the Sun. Observers in the U.S. East Coast, particularly Portland, Maine, will experience significant coverage. Optimal viewing in Europe will be in Northern and Central regions. Safety is paramount when viewing a solar eclipse. Direct exposure to the sun's rays can cause severe eye damage, including "eclipse blindness." Certified eclipse glasses with ISO 12312-2 certification are essential. Standard sunglasses are insufficient. For those unable to view the eclipse directly, live streams will be available online. The next partial solar eclipse is expected on September 21, 2025, and a total solar eclipse on August 12, 2026.
