A partial solar eclipse will be visible across Finland on March 29, weather permitting. The eclipse will occur as the Moon passes partially in front of the Sun from Earth's perspective. The phenomenon will be most pronounced in northwestern Finland, with up to 47% of the Sun's diameter obscured in Kilpisjärvi. In Helsinki, approximately 28% of the solar disc will be covered. The eclipse will begin after noon, reaching its peak between 13:33 and 13:43 local time. Direct viewing of the Sun is dangerous and can cause retinal damage. Protective eclipse glasses meeting EU standards are recommended. Cameras, binoculars, and telescopes should also be equipped with appropriate solar filters.
