Recent Seismic Activity in Sidi Bouzid, Tunisia: April 2025 Update

Sidi Bouzid, Tunisia, has experienced continued seismic activity in April 2025. The National Institute of Meteorology (INM) registered a 4.3 magnitude earthquake near Meknassi, Sidi Bouzid, on April 9, 2025. The epicenter was located southeast of the delegation.

On April 18, 2025, a 3.7 magnitude tremor was recorded in Regueb. Furthermore, on April 23, 2025, a magnitude 3.8 earthquake struck 3.9 km southeast of Sidi Bouzid. This recent earthquake had a shallow depth of 3 km, leading to it being felt more intensely near the epicenter.

The seismic events are part of a series of tremors that have affected the region from February to April 2025. Residents have reported feeling the tremors, but no casualties have been reported.
