Tacoma, Washington. At approximately 8:39 PM on the evening of June 27, a local resident reported sighting a mysterious stationary object in the sky. The incident took place immediately following a minor league baseball game between the Tacoma Rainiers and the Round Rock Express at Cheney Stadium. Because the game had started at 6:05 PM, a large number of fans were departing the arena at that time.
The witness, a Reddit user known as piperbong whose post has since attracted dozens of comments, described the sighting as follows:
“June 27, 2026, 8:39 PM, Tacoma, Washington. I noticed this after the Tacoma Rainiers game. The object hung motionless in the air while I was walking to my car. Once I reached the intersection, I took a photo. It began to descend, and the camera lost sight of it behind the power lines. The light changed, I went to my car, and when I looked up again, the object was gone.”

The eyewitness provided two photographs of the encounter. The first, taken from a distance, shows a small, dark, irregularly shaped object against the blue sky above a row of power lines. In the second, more detailed close-up, the object features a dark upper section and a lighter “tail” or lower elements—its shape is reminiscent of a humanoid figure, perhaps with legs or hanging parts, though some commenters have suggested it might be an inflatable structure resembling a cowboy or a person in an unusual pose.
