Metaplanet Invests $13.4M More in Bitcoin, Stock Surges 21.15% in Japan

Tokyo-based Metaplanet increased its Bitcoin holdings by $13.4 million on Monday, purchasing 156 BTC at an average price of $85,890 each. This acquisition brings their total holdings to 2,391 BTC, acquired for approximately $196.3 million at an average price of $82,100 per bitcoin. Metaplanet's stock surged 21.15% to 4,010 yen at closing in Japan, mirroring a broader crypto market rally. The company aims to hold 10,000 BTC by the end of 2025 and 21,000 BTC by the end of 2026.
