Metaplanet Adds 160 BTC to Holdings, Totals 4,206 BTC

Tokyo-based Metaplanet continued its Bitcoin accumulation strategy on Wednesday, purchasing an additional 160 BTC for approximately $13.3 million at an average price of $83,264 per Bitcoin. This acquisition, disclosed a day after buying 696 BTC, brings Metaplanet's total holdings to 4,206 BTC, valued at around $356.2 million. Since announcing its Bitcoin strategy in April 2024, Metaplanet aims to hold 10,000 BTC by the end of 2025 and 21,000 BTC by the end of 2026, solidifying its position as the ninth-largest publicly traded corporate holder of Bitcoin globally and the largest in Asia.
