Halloween is the time when even the cutest pets suddenly turn into witches, pumpkins, bats and other creatures that in ordinary life their owners would hardly want to meet in a dark hallway.
But one little Pomeranian Spitz clearly decided to go further than the rest.
He was dressed in a huge red crab costume, and the result was so impressive that the other dogs, it seems, seriously doubted the order of the universe for a few seconds.
Because suddenly there appeared before them something small, fluffy, fast and at the same time with a suspiciously large number of legs!
At first everything looked like an ordinary cute scene for social media.
The owners probably just wanted to make a funny Halloween video: a tiny Spitz in a ridiculous costume, the other dogs around, everyone smiling, the internet melting with tenderness.
But the Spitz himself, judging by everything, had completely different plans.
He didn't just put on the costume.
He got into character.
The dog instantly turned into a real little monster from the underwater world and began racing around the room, waving his red claws and extra legs.
The other dogs at first, it seems, tried to understand what exactly was happening.
But very quickly they chose the only reasonable tactic:
run for their lives!
The video shows the "crab-Spitz" eagerly giving chase, while his four-legged companions try to keep a safe distance from him.
And what makes it especially funny is that the Spitz himself clearly feels like a winner.
He stops, looks at the others, as if giving them a chance to catch their breath, and then rushes forward again.
A true predator.
Only a very small one.
And a very fluffy one.
And, most likely, weighing less than a good watermelon.
Social media users, of course, were delighted.
Because it's one thing — just a dog in a costume.
And quite another — a dog so carried away by the image that the other participants in the scene began to behave as if they were truly facing an unknown sea creature.
One can only imagine what was going on in the other dogs' heads.
— Why is a crab running across the carpet?
— Why is it so fast?
— Why is it looking right at me?
— And why are the owners just laughing and filming it on their phone instead of helping?!
That is the special charm of such videos: the animals aren't performing for the camera on purpose, aren't trying to be funny and aren't thinking about viral success.
They simply react sincerely to an absurd situation.
And the absurdity here, you must admit, is perfect.
A little Pomeranian Spitz in a giant crab costume turns the living room into an arena of pursuit and throws into panic the dogs who that very morning surely considered themselves the rightful masters of the territory.
Now everything has changed.
Now a crab has appeared in the house.
And this crab is determined.
It seems the owners simply wanted to take one cute Halloween photo, and in the end accidentally created a new species of predatory domestic crustacean.
All that's left is to hope that after the shoot they still managed to change the Spitz back.
Because if he liked the new look too much, next time he might demand a bowl of seafood, a separate aquarium, and officially forbid the other dogs from coming near the couch.
And if he also starts moving sideways, the other pets will probably just move out of the house! 😄
