💰 Americans are ready to spend nearly a billion dollars on Halloween costumes for their pets (10 October, USA).
Americans are seriously preparing their pets for Halloween — and the scale is impressive.
According to a survey by the National Retail Federation, spending on costumes for dogs, cats and other pets this season could approach $1 billion.
The most popular look — pumpkin: it is chosen by 11,6% of owners. In second place — hot dog with 5,9%, and in third — ghost with 2,8%.
Then the real high fashion begins: dinosaurs, superheroes, witches and other characters.
Which means somewhere right now a person is seriously facing a choice:
"So… last year Barsik was a dinosaur. Maybe this year, a ghost after all?"
It is especially wonderful to imagine all this billion dollars on outfits for creatures that, ten minutes after the photo shoot, may happily climb into a puddle, get dirty in the grass or try to eat their own costume.
But that is what love is.
You know the costume will last fifteen minutes — and you buy it anyway. 😄
