On July 2, 2025, Haryana's Education Minister, Mahipal Dhanda, announced a new initiative: free coaching for high-achieving students in government schools. The goal is to improve their performance in competitive exams, including the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) and the National Defence Academy (NDA) entrance tests. A pilot project is being developed by the Education Department.
This coaching will be provided after school hours by experienced government school teachers. The initiative aims to enhance the quality of education and offer better facilities. Parent-teacher meetings will also be implemented regularly in government schools, similar to private schools, to keep parents informed.
This program builds on the success of Haryana's Super-100 program. The Super-100 program has helped underprivileged students prepare for national-level competitive exams. The Super-100 program has been expanded to support more students preparing for JEE Mains and NEET.
