Edited by: Olga Samsonova

The children's storytelling cycle 'Heroes and Heroines,' organized by Las 4 Esquinas Producciones, will be held at the 71st edition of the International Classical Theatre Festival of Mérida. This cycle, now in its seventh edition, will present three plays every Sunday in July and August at 12:00 PM in Plaza de España.

The selected plays include 'Silvia and the Sacred Mountain of Fire,' which promotes self-acceptance and freedom; 'Orestes and the Lion of Menea,' which promotes empathy, inclusion, and respect for the environment; and 'Hedaras and the Lake of Perfect Images,' which encourages reflection on self-awareness and emotional health.

The cycle has become a highly anticipated summer event in Mérida, offering children an entertaining and educational way to engage with theatre and universal values. The activity reached over 5,000 students in more than 60 educational centers in 2024. It aims to reach children, teenagers, parents, and grandparents.
