The Andhra Pradesh government has partnered with Microsoft to provide AI and advanced technology skills training to youth in vocational education. The agreement aims to develop basic AI skills among secondary school children and youth, creating a skilled workforce for IT and other industries. Microsoft will train over two lakh youths in one year, as well as 500 teachers and 10,000 engineering students from 50 rural engineering colleges in AI and cloud computing. Additionally, 30,000 students from 30 Industrial Training Institutes will receive training in digital productivity. Microsoft will also provide 100 hours of AI training to 50,000 individuals to improve public service delivery and capacity building among government officials. The APSSDC will provide the infrastructure for AI training, while Microsoft will coordinate with departments and provide certification for the AI curriculum.
