The Federal Government of Nigeria has inaugurated the Ladela Educational Institute, accredited by the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE). The institute aims to provide Nigerian youth with practical, employable skills.
The Executive Director, Angela Ajala, announced the initiative at a news conference in Abuja. The Technical Vocational Educational Training (TVET) program seeks to foster a skilled, self-reliant workforce. The program is tuition-free and targets Nigerian youth aged 18 to 35, including those without formal education.
The institute will offer six-month programs in Garment Making, Hospitality and Catering, Creative Digital Skills, Social Media Management, and Solar Installation and Maintenance. Trainees will receive a monthly stipend and a starter pack upon graduation. Registration is open to eligible youth with a valid National Identification Number (NIN) through the NBTE portal.
