If I develop an intensely powerful connection with the Source, would it be possible to experience all my past incarnations simultaneously while remaining in this body, or would my physical form simply be unable to handle the strain?

You are the Source yourself. Once you move beyond sensing a connection and begin to experience your true Self, you will gain access to Knowledge on any subject your physical mind is capable of processing. Anything you are unable to integrate will be forgotten almost immediately, much like what happens with complex, vivid dreams; all that will remain is a lingering, profound sense of "absolutely incredible well-being."
You can perceive other incarnations much like you might recall every movie you have ever seen—a broad, sweeping overview accompanied by the general realization that "I have witnessed this." Focusing on the details of a single life is more akin to immersing yourself in a specific memory or rewatching a particular film.
Depending on your mental readiness, the way you view this information may involve various sensory effects. However, it is important to understand that your information processing is specific to your current personality; the Source, acting through the Higher Self, will never compromise your identity by overloading it with unnecessary data.
