Physically, death changes the way you sense the world around you.

You take some device — glasses, binoculars, a telescope or a microscope. And you constantly observe your ENTIRE surroundings through this device. Say you live like this for a couple of years. And then you abruptly throw the device aside and look at the world with your own eyes. What will happen?
