Garmin Blaze: A Smartwatch Designed for Horses

تم التعديل بواسطة: Katerina S.

The Garmin Blaze system, developed by Garmin for equine health monitoring, was honored as a CES 2026 award winner. The device tracks vitals in real time and transmits this information to owners via a mobile application, standing out for its sensor precision and seamless integration.

Mounted at the base of the horse's tail, the Garmin Blaze measures heart rate, body temperature, and activity levels. The app compiles health reports over daily, weekly, or monthly intervals, enabling users to identify any deviations from standard baseline metrics. This capability allows health issues to be detected early, even before the animal shows any outward signs of illness.

The system supports the monitoring of multiple animals by creating a dedicated profile for each one.

For owners and trainers, this provides a way to remotely monitor horses in the stable or during training without the need for constant on-site supervision. Veterinarians receive objective data that helps them form accurate diagnoses and evaluate the success of medical treatments.

While the device is already available for purchase, Garmin is continuing to roll out technical improvements.

The debut of the Garmin Blaze fits into the broader trend of digitizing large animal care, as technology evolves from simple location tracking toward comprehensive medical monitoring.
