Porsche and Audi Recall 34,026 EVs Over Fire Risk

Porsche and Audi are recalling a total of 34,026 electric vehicles due to a fire risk linked to battery failures.

Porsche is pulling back 27,527 Taycan electric sedans from model years 2020 to 2024, while Audi is recalling 6,499 e-tron GT and RS e-tron GT models from 2022 to 2024.

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) reports that certain vehicles may experience short circuits within the battery modules, potentially leading to fires. The issue stems from supplier manufacturing problems related to high-voltage modules.
