Recent research led by Assoc. Prof. Çiğdem Çınar highlights the profound effects of exercise on brain function. According to Çınar, "Changes in neurotransmitters in the brain after exercise improve cognitive functions and strengthen memory the following day. We observe that exercise provides not only immediate but also long-term cognitive benefits. When combined with deep sleep, exercise reinforces these effects."

Çınar emphasizes that regular exercise not only enhances mental health but also physical health. "Exercise strengthens heart health, regulates blood pressure, and reduces the risk of metabolic diseases. It also has positive effects on the musculoskeletal system, preserving joint health and increasing bone density. Additionally, exercise releases endorphins that improve mood and lower stress levels, thus ensuring physical and psychological well-being," she stated.
