Ericsson Launches Academia Program to Boost AI Skills in Telecom

Ericsson has launched the 'EricssonEdge Academia Program' to enhance early career talent development in telecommunications across Southeast Asia, Oceania, and India.

The program aims to equip students with essential knowledge in 5G, Cloud, and AI technologies, preparing them for careers in the evolving telecom landscape. It will provide in-depth learning experiences to pre-final year students from over 40 top universities in the region.

Spanning six months, the program includes instructor-led sessions and web-based learning modules, with regular assessments to track progress. Participants who complete the program will be eligible for Ericsson's Graduate Recruitment Program.

Priyanka Anand, Vice President at Ericsson, stated, "The EricssonEdge Academia Program exemplifies how the industry can collaborate with academia to develop the next generation of telecom professionals." This initiative aims to enhance employability and advance industry capabilities by providing students with access to educational content and exposure to industry leaders.
