Laura Solla struggled with bloating despite a light diet, but her routine changed after her nutritionist suggested hibiscus tea. She began drinking a glass after every meal, and her body responded positively.

Hibiscus, native to Africa, is now cultivated in various regions worldwide. According to nutritionist Laura Parada, hibiscus tea can be consumed hot or cold and is recognized in many cultures for its potential benefits against nervous disorders, insomnia, mild heart issues, inflammation, and hypertension.

Parada explains that the fruit acids in hibiscus can act as a laxative, aiding digestion and alleviating heartburn, stomach cramps, gastroenteritis, and gas. The tea may also contribute to lowering blood pressure, blood sugar levels, and body fat, while improving kidney function.

Rich in vitamin C, iron, minerals, and antioxidants, hibiscus tea protects cells from harmful free radicals and possesses anti-inflammatory properties due to its polyphenol content.

For preparation, using pre-packaged dried hibiscus tea bags is recommended, with hot water poured over them. A combination of ginger and lemon juice enhances its anti-inflammatory effects.

However, the expert advises against consuming more than two cups daily. While generally safe to drink, hibiscus tea is not recommended for everyone, particularly children, pregnant or breastfeeding women, and those undergoing or recovering from surgery.

According to the Mirror, a cocktail made from olive oil, lemon juice, and cayenne pepper may also help reduce gas, aid in weight loss, and detoxify the body. This drink can be consumed daily from Monday to Friday for four weeks, with a recommended break on weekends, providing benefits within the first few days.
