New research indicates that by 2030, artificial intelligence (AI) is expected to eliminate nearly 80 million jobs globally, while simultaneously creating approximately 170 million new positions.
According to the study, around 40% of companies plan to reduce their workforce due to automation, with 50% seeking to adapt their operations to incorporate technologies such as generative AI, big data, and cybersecurity.
Jobs in postal services, executive assistance, payroll, graphic design, and legal secretarial work are projected to decline significantly. Notably, 70% of businesses will look for specialists in AI tool design, and 62% intend to hire employees trained to work alongside AI systems.
