Pepsodent has introduced AI Denta-Scan, an innovative technology aimed at enhancing online dental consultations in Indonesia. Ratu Mirah Afifah, Head of Professional Marketing Personal Care at Unilever Indonesia, announced that this service will be available during National Dental Health Month (BKGN) 2024.
The AI Denta-Scan will initially feature a virtual greeting from celebrity Hamish Daud, followed by an initial screening of users' oral health, processed through AI technology. Based on the screening results, users will be directed to consult with available dentists via chat or video call.
Indonesia ranks third globally in AI usage, making the Denta-Scan innovation particularly exciting for the public and helping to dispel fears about visiting the dentist. Prof. Dr. Gusbakti Rusip from Universitas Prima emphasized that AI-driven online consultations are valuable in dentistry, serving as educational tools and preliminary screening devices that can lead to referrals for further care.
With the strategic implementation of Pepsodent AI Denta-Scan during BKGN 2024, the initiative aims to encourage more routine dental consultations among the population.
