Warrington Wolves to Rename Stadium for World Darts Champion Luke Littler

Warrington Wolves, a Super League rugby team, will rename their stadium in honor of their most famous son, Luke Littler. The 18-year-old made history last month by becoming the youngest ever winner of the PDC World Darts Championship, defeating Michael van Gerwen in the final. Littler's victory earned him a £500,000 prize and propelled him to global fame.

The renaming ceremony will take place on February 21st during the Wolves' game against the Catalans Dragons. The Halliwell Jones Stadium will be temporarily known as the Luke Littler Stadium for the evening. Littler will parade his World Championship trophy on the pitch at half-time, just as he did at Old Trafford when Manchester United hosted Brighton last month.

Littler's success has transcended the sport of darts, making him a global name. He has been recognized with numerous accolades, including being named second in the BBC Sports Personality of the Year, presenting a Brit Award, appearing on the front of Forbes magazine, and being a guest on the Jonathan Ross Show.
