Kazakhstan's boxers have made a remarkable impact at the Asian Boxing Championship held in Chiang Mai, Thailand, securing two gold medals. The victories were achieved by Victoria Gracheva and Aida Abikeeva, marking a significant achievement for the national team.

Victoria Gracheva competed in the women's category up to 60 kilograms, where she emerged victorious against China's Li Xiang. Gracheva's journey to gold included defeating Thailand's Pornthip Buapa and Taiwan's Chen-Huang Yen, showcasing her skill and determination throughout the tournament.

This gold medal represents a historic first for Kazakhstan at this championship, with five female boxers and nine male boxers reaching the finals. Following Gracheva's success, Aida Abikeeva added to Kazakhstan's achievements by winning gold in the up to 63 kilograms category. She triumphed over Vietnam's Lin Ha, further solidifying Kazakhstan's position in Asian boxing.

The Asian Boxing Championship commenced on November 30 and will conclude on December 11, 2024, highlighting the growing prominence of Kazakhstan in the sport.
