Samsung's One UI 7 Introduces Camera Continuity for Seamless Device Integration

Samsung has enhanced its One UI interface with the introduction of version 7, which expands the functionality of the 'continue apps on other devices' feature. This update not only improves support for Samsung Internet and Samsung Notes but also introduces 'camera continuity,' streamlining workflows across various Galaxy devices.

The new 'camera continuity' feature allows users to take photos or scan documents on their Galaxy smartphones and seamlessly continue processing them on a Galaxy Book PC or other Galaxy devices. To use this feature, users must log in with the same Samsung account, stay within Bluetooth range, and connect to the same Wi-Fi network.

Currently, the camera continuity feature is only available on the Samsung Galaxy S24 running the One UI 7 beta 2 interface, indicating that other devices will need future updates to support this functionality fully.

While the Samsung Notes app already offered cross-device synchronization, the 'camera continuity' feature simplifies this process. The shared notes feature in Samsung Notes serves a different purpose, mainly for collaborative editing, akin to Google Docs.

The previous 'continue apps on other devices' feature allowed users to resume their work seamlessly in Samsung Internet or Samsung Notes. The updated One UI 7 improves this functionality, now termed 'continue on other devices,' indicating support for cross-device synchronization of Wi-Fi networks as well. Samsung devices have long supported syncing saved Wi-Fi networks to Samsung Cloud.

Moreover, the mention of future support for 'other apps' in the settings suggests a potential expansion of this functionality beyond just Samsung Internet and Samsung Notes.
