Adobe Releases Firefly Video Model for AI Video Generation

Editado por: Veronika Nazarova

Adobe has launched the beta of its Firefly video model, marking a significant step in AI-driven video creation. Available through the Firefly web application and Premiere Pro, the model allows users to generate video clips up to five seconds long from text prompts or images.

Adobe aims to differentiate Firefly as the first commercially safe video generator, trained on Adobe-owned and IP-safe content. Users can specify camera type, lens, motion, and angle, and even create 3D sketches and atmospheric elements to feed into the AI.

The system currently supports 1080p, with 4K resolution coming soon. Adobe offers Firefly Standard and Pro plans, providing 2,000 and 7,000 video/audio credits per month, respectively. A premium service for professional users is also planned. Firefly also includes Generative Extend, a tool for extending scenes, and can translate videos into over 20 languages, matching voice, tone, and cadence. The company hopes to capitalize on the early success of Firefly by offering standalone subscriptions, with the Standard plan costing $9.99 per month and the Pro plan at $29.99 per month.
