Artificial Intelligence (AI) is set to transform education significantly, according to Ponciano Jorge Escamilla Ambrosio, coordinator of the Master's and Doctorate programs in AI and Data Science at the National Polytechnic Institute (IPN) in Mexico. He emphasizes that AI impacts daily life globally and underpins numerous solutions, including chatbots and autonomous vehicles.
Starting in 2025, the IPN will offer advanced degrees aimed at developing experts capable of creating AI solutions that enhance learning and knowledge acquisition. The programs will also address the integration of AI in educational settings, where it can automate administrative tasks, monitor student performance in real-time, and identify dropout risks for early intervention.
AI is already revolutionizing Learning Management Systems (LMS), enabling personalized learning paths, intelligent tutoring systems, and immersive experiences through virtual and augmented reality. These advancements make education more accessible and inclusive, ensuring all students can benefit from tailored resources.
