Nicholas Hoult, known for his roles in films like 'Mad Max: Fury Road', recently shared a humorous behind-the-scenes moment from the set of Robert Eggers' upcoming horror film 'Nosferatu'. During an appearance on The Graham Norton Show, Hoult revealed that the film featured an astonishing 5,000 rats, some of which were trained.

Reflecting on his experience, Hoult joked about the challenges of working with the rodents, stating, "I think we had like 5,000 rats... and they were incontinent, so it was kinda stinky." Host Graham Norton chimed in, noting that rats simply don’t care about their bathroom habits.

The film, a remake of the 1922 classic, explores a gothic tale of obsession between a haunted woman and a vampire. Hoult also recounted a particularly intense scene involving co-star Bill Skarsgard, who had to endure being locked in a sarcophagus filled with rats and maggots, all while in full prosthetic makeup. "I did feel bad for him," Hoult admitted, highlighting the challenges faced by the cast.

As anticipation builds for 'Nosferatu', Hoult's anecdotes offer a glimpse into the unique and often humorous challenges of filmmaking in the horror genre.
