Italy has officially opened registration for the 2025 edition of the 'Obiettivo Terra' environmental photography contest, an initiative aimed at protecting and promoting the country's rich ecological heritage. Organized by the UniVerde Foundation and the Italian Geographical Society, the contest highlights Italy's diverse ecosystems, landscapes, and cultural traditions, particularly within its national parks and protected marine areas.

Fostering Sustainable Tourism and Circular Economy

The contest encourages principles of sustainable tourism and circular economy, offering awards such as a special mention for 'Sustainable Tourism', in collaboration with the Italian Touring Club.

  • The contest is open to anyone aged 18 and older, including both Italian citizens and foreign residents in Italy.

  • The submission deadline is March 16, 2025.

Celebrating Italy's Biodiversity

Participants are invited to submit photographs captured in Italy's national parks, regional parks, interregional zones, or protected marine reserves, showcasing the country's exceptional biodiversity — one of the richest in Europe.

This initiative not only celebrates Italy's stunning natural beauty but also reinforces efforts to protect its invaluable ecosystems and promote awareness about environmental preservation.
