Tom Brady to Auction Iconic Watch Collection, Including Super Bowl Moment Pieces

In a groundbreaking auction, NFL legend Tom Brady will sell a selection of his prized watches through Sotheby's this December. This marks the first time Brady, a seven-time Super Bowl champion, is parting with his collection, which includes rare pieces like a Cartier Crash and a limited-edition Rolex Daytona.

Brady expressed his emotional connection to these timepieces, stating, "These watches capture unforgettable moments and the hard work that accompanied them." He aims to offer fans and collectors a chance to own pieces that have significant personal value to him.

Among the items, the IWC Pilot's Watch TOP GUN Edition is estimated to fetch between $12,000 and $18,000, notable for being worn during the victory parade after Super Bowl 2021. This auction, titled "The GOAT Collection: Watches and Treasures from Tom Brady," will also feature memorabilia like his University of Michigan jersey and a wristband from the Patriots' historic comeback in Super Bowl LI.

Brady's personal items have proven lucrative at auction; a signed rookie card recently sold for $120,000. Sotheby's plans to showcase the collection in Los Angeles, Miami, and Dallas, with dates to be announced soon.

Despite previously expressing a desire to keep his watches, Brady's decision to auction them reflects a shift in his perspective, highlighting the evolving nature of sports memorabilia and its growing appeal.
