Discover the Black Truffle of Cuneo: A Culinary Treasure and Cultural Experience

Editado por: Ainet

The Black Truffle of Cuneo is not just a culinary delight; it's a symbol of the rich gastronomic tradition of Italy. Nestled between the Alps and rolling hills, the fertile lands of the Cuneo province provide the perfect conditions for this extraordinary product to thrive. With its intense aroma and refined flavor, the Black Truffle enhances every dish, celebrating the unique tastes of the Piedmont region.

This prized ingredient is more than just a delicacy; it embodies a millennia-old culture that honors the deep connection between humans and nature. Each truffle tells a story of passion, dedication, and respect for the environment. To promote this unique product, the Atl del Cuneese has launched an initiative, co-funded by the Piedmont Region, aimed at enhancing local Black Truffle production, particularly in the Monregalese, Langa Cebana, and Valle Tanaro areas.

The project includes educational programs for tourism, hospitality, and culinary professionals, ensuring they can accurately present this exquisite product to a wider audience. The first activities kicked off in December, featuring truffle-hunting excursions in the Monregalese, Langa Cebana, and Val Tanaro regions, coinciding with key autumn events like the Morozzo Capon Fair and the International Bull Festival in Carrù.

In January, the initiative continues with training sessions for students from local hospitality institutes, focusing on biology, ecosystems, and sensory experiences related to truffles. February will see additional training for restaurant and hospitality operators, with expert-led sessions at the Atl del Cuneese's headquarters.

Mauro Bernardi, president of the Atl del Cuneese, expressed his enthusiasm for the collaboration with educational institutions, emphasizing the importance of deepening knowledge about the Black Truffle in tourism and gastronomy. This comprehensive approach aims to engage the public while equipping current and future professionals with the skills needed to promote this extraordinary product.

For those interested in participating, training sessions will be held on February 3, 10, and 17, 2025, at the Atl del Cuneese. Registration is free but required, and spots are limited. To sign up, contact the Atl del Cuneese offices at 0171-690217.
