Prajakta Mali, the talented actress known for her upcoming film 'Phullwanti', is making waves with her performance and insights on fitness. In a recent interview with Lokmat Film, she emphasized the importance of physical and mental health, sharing her personal fitness regimen.
Mali revealed, "When we talk about physical health, we must include mental health. I follow the trio of pranayama, meditation, and yoga. At 2:30 PM today, I completed my pranayama session before heading out. If my team arrives early, I guide them through practices like Bhrastika. A half-hour of pranayama and ten minutes of meditation are essential in my life. Mental exercise supports physical exercise immensely."
She further elaborated on her yoga practice, stating, "I practice Ashtanga Yoga, which is more advanced than general yoga. The beauty of this practice is that you don't feel out of breath. Unlike running, cycling, or gym workouts that can leave you gasping, Ashtanga Yoga keeps you steady. I oppose gym workouts because they heat the body, especially when done in an air-conditioned environment, which confuses the body's natural processes. Toxins need to be expelled, and gym workouts often hinder that."
Mali concluded her thoughts by saying, "Yoga is all about breath control. The exercises are designed around your breathing patterns. Ashtanga Yoga also exercises your internal organs, which has greatly benefited me. Learning the practice is crucial. The value lies in the environment where you practice and the food you consume. I may not practice daily, but I ensure to sweat at least twice a week."
She added, "Completing an Ashtanga series takes about an hour, but I manage to do a 15-minute workout that makes me sweat. Regardless of my schedule, I always meditate, even if it means turning off everyone’s phones while in the car. By incorporating meditation, yoga, and pranayama into your routine, you won’t need anything else. Implementing these practices will undoubtedly bring you benefits."
