Israeli Forces Strike Hezbollah Commander in Southern Lebanon Amidst Fragile Truce

On February 15, 2025, Israeli forces conducted an offensive in Southern Lebanon, targeting a high-ranking commander within Hezbollah's aerial unit.

The National News Agency (NNA) reported that at least two individuals were killed in an Israeli bombing in Southern Lebanon. The attack, which targeted a vehicle in the Jarjuh area, also resulted in injuries to four others.

The Israeli military stated that the targeted individual was a "significant terrorist" within Hezbollah's aerial unit, accused of repeatedly violating agreements between Israel and Lebanon. This action occurred despite a ceasefire agreement established on November 27, following months of conflict. Both sides have repeatedly accused each other of violating the terms of the truce, which stipulates the deployment of only the Lebanese Army and UN peacekeeping forces in Southern Lebanon.
