NASA Astronauts Engage Students in CubeSat Project During Live ISS Q A Session

On November 14, 2024, NASA astronauts Nick Hague and Suni Williams will participate in a live Q&A session with students from the Denver School of Science and Technology. The event, organized by the JEKL Institute for Global Equity and Access in collaboration with the Denver Museum of Nature and Science, will allow students to ask their prerecorded questions from the International Space Station (ISS) during a 20-minute session broadcast on NASA+ at 1 p.m. EST.

The students are currently building CubeSat emulators intended for launch via high-altitude balloons, providing a practical application of their studies. This initiative underscores NASA's commitment to education and outreach, fostering interest in space exploration among younger generations.

For over 24 years, astronauts have been continuously residing on the ISS, conducting scientific research and technology demonstrations that benefit life on Earth and prepare for future missions to the Moon and Mars as part of NASA's Artemis program. This program aims to inspire the next generation of explorers while ensuring the U.S. maintains its leadership in space exploration.
