Fabrizio Corona Fires Back at Achille Lauro: "Gossip Is What Politics Does Every Day"

Fabrizio Corona, the former "king of the paparazzi," has once again taken to social media, specifically Instagram stories, to defend his "Falsissimo" format and Fedez. He did so by attacking Achille Lauro, whom Corona had previously accused of having an affair with Chiara Ferragni during her marriage to the Milanese rapper. "There's a lot of talk about violence against women, and we need to realize that this isn't so different," the Roman singer said at a press conference in Milan in anticipation of the Sanremo Festival. The reference to the Fedez-Ferragni case is evident, as is the accusation against Corona, as Selvaggia Lucarelli had already done before. Corona didn't mince words: "You talk about violence? You use it to clean up your image."

Even if Achille Lauro says he still lives "in a world of dreams," he is certainly also informed about everyday issues. Especially those surrounding the now ex-Ferragnez and the alleged betrayals that, on both sides, would have fractured the couple. Fedez's relationship with the 26-year-old Milanese Angelica Montini, revealed by Fabrizio Corona in a YouTube video, was confirmed by the singer himself. The details of the affair were commented on with bitterness on social media by Chiara Ferragni, triggering the reaction of the former king of the paparazzi. It was he who, addressing the entrepreneur, brought Achille Lauro into the mix: "Do you remember when you told Fedez that you slept with him?"

And regarding this, Lauro offered a quip during the Milan press conference: "At this beautiful moment, I'll leave gossip to those who only have this to exist," he said. "Thank God, I still live in a world of dreams and great dreamers, and I live alienated, making many projects. I spend a lot of time abroad, I don't follow and I don't like gossip. There's a lot of talk about violence against women, and we need to realize that this isn't so different." Corona's immediate response was clearly directed at the singer: "Dear Achille, gossip is what the politics of our country does every day." And on the accusation of violence, he added, insisting on the liaison between Lauro and Ferragni: "Talking about violence against women is the usual woke rhetoric that those like you, who go out with married women, use to clean up their image."
