Mexico's Tax Revenue Exceeds 2024 Projections with Record Collection

The Servicio de Administración Tributaria (SAT) announced that tax revenues in Mexico surpassed projections outlined in the Federal Revenue Law for 2024, achieving a compliance rate of 100.3%.

In 2023, the country recorded a historic tax collection of 4.954 trillion pesos, marking a real growth of 4.7% compared to the previous year.

The Special Tax on Production and Services (IEPS) experienced the most significant growth, increasing by 34.8%.

In 2024, income tax (ISR) collections amounted to 2.684 trillion pesos, reflecting an increase of 177.263 billion pesos or 2.2% in real terms. Value-added tax (IVA) generated 1.407 trillion pesos, an increase of 41.4 billion pesos from 2023.
